Okay….  so about me…..  “the story” of how I came to where I am in relation to supporting others taking the very best care of themselves in general, with a particularly focus on the well-being of their skin.  Right now I would like to say that most importantly if I am an expert on anything, I am an expert on knowing and loving myself as brilliantly as possible.  It is a moment to moment practice for me and if I inspire any one in any way, my heart would be fully behind supporting people in the  refinement of their life so that their life starts to work marvelously for them.   

For many years I've held this vision of myself as the glass at the top of a champagne fountain.  That my only “job” in life was to make sure that my “cup” (i.e. Spirit) is always kept so full of love, light and everything I consider good, that I would constantly be bubbling all over every other “cup” I come into contact with.  My way of keeping my cup full is to stay very conscious about what I'm thinking and therefore feeling to be sure I'm in alignment with the things that really thrill and de-light me.  This commitment has been my greatest work and my highest pleasure.  My vision is that this way of being will be easily inspired in anyone who is ready to go higher. 

Many years ago I was the Vice President of a large marketing corporation when a very significant event occurred.  One of the managers that reported to me gave me a little book of natural skin care recipes you could make out of ingredients typically found in most any kitchen.   

At this point let me say that I had not yet discovered the natural realm of most anything and only used “upscale” department store cosmetic brands.  My measure of the quality of a product was the price for which it was being sold.  I was making a good salary so I would plunk out a significant amount of bucks for any little jar of goo that came with the big promise of happy, glowing, smooth radiant skin.  Often I would arrive at the counter with a torn out advertisement picturing a beautiful model with the most gorgeous skin ever, believing if I purchased that product that my skin could look just like hers.  I really wanted to believe that I could buy the product and get the result they promised.  The truth of the matter was that never once….. not one single time….. did I get the “tah~dah” I was hoping for.  Typically, I would be happy if I didn't break out or have some unpleasant reaction to the product that took days to clear up. I had basically surrendered to this outcome but because I am an extreme optimist I just kept on searching and sampling and plunking down the bucks. And then a life changing event occurred. 

One Sunday months after I received the recipe book, I decided to open it up and check it out.  It was full of very simple recipes for cleansers, masks, treatment oils etc.  They were all made of things like, honey, oats, yogurt, herbs, fruits….. basically food.  I thought “what could these things possible do to make beautiful skin?” But I had time on my hands so I decided to blend up a few things as I had many of the ingredients on hand.  Well …… that was truly the start of a life long passion because when I completed my little home facial made with these simple botanical food item I was fully in the experience of the “Tah-Dah” I'd been searching for and investing in for years!   

It was astounding.  My skin was so soft, glowing, supple and unbelievelably velvety smooth.  It was one of the first experiences I'd ever had with my skin where I did not want to put any foundation or make up on it as it looked so great and felt so fresh and clean and enlivened.  The most distinct memory I have is of even more than how it looked and felt from the outside was how it felt being on the inside of my skin.  When I shut my eyes I could feel a very new sensation.  It was this tingly, sparkly buzz of energy like every cell in my face was doing some kind of joyful dance of appreciation.  I know that this may sound a bit……. “something”……. But the truth of the matter is that it was profoundly attention grabbing.  And this started a curiosity that inspired many moments of passion oriented action.   

I wanted to understand why all of those countless jars of expensive products created by the top cosmetic chemists with unlimited sources of ingredients and understanding of science did virtually nothing beneficial for my skin and then these extremely simple food based concoctions could create such a noticeable improvement.  What the hell did that mean? 

Well, after many years of experimenting and blending and people-testing.  The answer is clear to me.  Those simple ingredients are made up of the same “things” we are made up of.  Our skin can understand what they are and receives them like a healthy life giving meal.  And most importantly…. They are alive. This understanding has evolved out of my personal experience with my skin as well as working with hundred of people and watching the results that unfold when the skin is treated with respect and given the best quality potions on a consistent basis.  It is the same basic understanding that more and more people are arriving at in relation to the food they eat.  People are becoming more enlightened to the truth that there is a different outcome and benefit received from eating a big organic colorful salad versus a plate of french fries.  There is a difference!  The same principal applies to everything you put on the outside.  It is a well documented fact that our skin absorbs at least 60% of whatever we put on it. So I would like to inspire you to choose only the very best you can find. 

That initial mind opening experience lead me on a very long journey of blending and experimenting that has been going on for over 20 years at this point.  I eventually left my corporate job and became a  licensed esthetician.  I had been conjuring blends and sharing them with anyone who was interested and I soon developed a reputation as someone who could help with uplifting skin concerns and a variety of other health goals.  I would come home from work and there would be notes on my door from neighbors that had heard through the grapevine that I may be able to assist them with a variety of skin conditions.  It is such a blessing when you find one of your life's clear callings as you never tire of learning and sharing on the topic.  It's such soul nourishing focus…….. I wish this experience for everyone! 

So….. out of my esthetic schooling and my initial private practice, I created the Sensuous Beauty line of products.  It continued to expand and unfold according to the direction life guided me and brought me into two very enriching partnerships. First with one of my blood-sisters, Gina Williams when we opened our erotica boutique, The Sensuality Shoppe and then with one of my chosen-sisters, Andrea Sanzo as we all partnered up in both the boutique business and the product manufacturing entity of Sensuous Beauty (both located in Northern California ~ see links). 

Aligning in this way with the two of them was without question one of the best decisions I have ever made and we have a long history of positive experience with one another.  There is no question that neither business would be evolved to the thriving level they exist at today without the brilliance and special diverse talents that we all bring to the mix.  I appreciate every little smidge of all the thousands of details these two exceptionally skilled and loving women handle to keep these two businesses alive.  They are without question two of the most important people in my life and reflect back to me what exquisite taste and high standards I have!  Their support was key in my being able to relocate from Northern California to Maui, Hawaii in 2000.   I spent close to seven years on the magical island of Maui sharing my services, products, teaching and immense love through both my private practice and offering classes and workshops independently as well as in association with Spa Luna Holistic Esthetic & Massage School.   

And now in 2007 I have decided to unfold my teachings to an ever expanding audience by taking “my show” on the road.  In September of 2007 I have purchased an RV so I could travel and promote Sensuous Beauty Products and my web-site business.  I have created the “Skin Care-A-Van” and now  travel full time sharing product information, education and much, much love and light.  I am happy that you have connected with my web-site and will continue to update this resource with information and inspiration.  I promise to share what ever I discover to support you taking the best possible care of yourself and to love yourself more and more with each passing moment.  Feeling good is the most important investment you can make in your life.  It determines every single thing that becomes part of your experience and in this vastly diverse universe, there is never, ever a shortage of things to focus on that will help you accomplish this.
